Have you heard the saying that beauty is more than skin deep? I'm pretty sure that who we are as people definitely has a lot to do with our personal radiance, but I do believe that having an on-point skincare routine is the first step to beautiful skin. If you're like me, most days you'll go bare-faced; no more than eye liner, mascara and out the door. So I need to have glowing skin!
That being said, one of the things I want to do during 2017 is be more open to new things. In the past I've been of the mindset, that if it's not broken then why try to fix it? (in this case speaking specifically about the creams, lotions and potions I use on my face and body) I've been faithful and stuck with my tried and true favorites for years... until now!
It's been almost a month trialling the Intraceuticals Rejuvenate starter kit shown below in the image (with a few others of my current favorite products). This range of products was designed and scientifically backed to hydrate and deliver essential nutrients to the skin. By helping to fight free radicals, the skin should show reduced signs of aging. (Who ever said they didn't care to look younger?)
The 3 steps are so easy, I've lined them up on my countertop and I can pre-cleanse then go...1-2-3. A good thing too as I usually only have one eye half open when I wake up in the morning! Here you have the steps outlined:
1. Daily Serum to lift, tone and hydrate. This is all about radiance and vitality, everything I want in the morning please!
2. Hydration Gel that actively counteracts the dehydration that occurs overnight. When I wake up, I'm thirsty and so is my skin; this silky gel delivers and it leaves my cheeks glowing too!
3. Moisture binding cream is the final step. It feels like a super booster of moisture but it's not leaving me feeling oily or like I've added too much cream. It locks in moisture and all those nourishing ingredients that are going to fight for anti-aging all day long.
I still do need to add sunscreen afterwards as this is not containing SPF, but we'll talk about sunscreens in another post. Overall, I've been really pleased that I tried this starter kit, I haven't had any breakouts and I think it's battled the dryness of winter very aptly. I've had my fair share of events and occasions already in this first month of the year and I do feel like my skin has been smoother for makeup application as well which means I can use less; more is always less in my book when it comes to foundation.
If you're keen to try it out, you can pick it up in-store at Constance & Charles and they do ship! (locally in Montreal for free, BONUS!)
The kit also comes with this handy travel bag, perfect for the frequent traveller! Or if you just like to wash your face at work :)
