Ok, so the true meaning of the English word "Holiday" is an exemption from any kind of work. Keeping that in mind, I'd say we've all had a good 'ol holiday over the past few weeks haven't we! But, I have a shopping confession to make... the one that during these past few weeks I did not shop the sales or hit up the outlet malls or even flip through the pages of a catalog. Instead I was at home just cringing at the thought of crowded spaces and packed parking lots and overplayed Christmas tunes! I saved myself the pain and hassle and stayed away, far far away rather enjoying the quiet comfort of our new "pied-a-terre" in Montreal's North shore suburb of Laval.
It's nice to have a little place to call our own there when we visit now, not crashing in on family space or crowding out the in-laws. Plus, now we can stay up late watching addictive reruns of our favorite sitcoms and not feel guilty!
Funny enough, back home in Indy now we have more snow on the ground than Montreal! I don't remember the last time that happened? Luckily I did some local window shopping before the weather rolled in...
