Cruising The Arts and Design District, black and white are my blank canvas for creativity in style. Layering is the key to this outfit and it's all in the details when it comes to monochrome. It maybe the start of the week again, but we can still dress like it's the weekend!

Alexis...
Style inspirations come from so many places, this is my style for the weekend... thank you Alexis!
Ladylike blooms
As the last days of summer are counting down, I'll take any opportunity to wear something bright and flowing, plus it's the weekend! Almost ;) This outfit is somewhat unusual for me, quite outside my daily style routine but I loved the bright pattern and open back with tie detail on this top... an homage to one of my fashion icons. This Friday, remembering the late Lauren Bacall.

Last chances for warm weather styles...
Leather in Blush
This morning I saw the sunrise! We slept so little last night I wasn't sure if I had slept at all... was I halucinating and seeing a glowing red ball of fire on the horizon instead? The long, hot days of summer are starting to grow shorter, the nights are cooler and it's time for a transition. Soft, supple leather in blush pink is perfect and as you know I love high-low street style, mixing high-end and distressed casual for my outfits. Take my advice and enjoy these last days of summer... let your nights become days every so often, it's worth it!
Mellow details
Â
Too many great details to share in just one post, so here are some out takes! I'm loving wearing this jewelry from the Suetables collection.
Bandeau
Growing up in Australia, I have "Beach Bum" in my genetics, so this weekend you know where you can find me!
High Line...
There is nothing like a high neckline and a sky high pair of pumps to stop morning traffic in Carmel… my summer road trip is bringing me back through Indy this week and I'm looking forward to catching up with all my Hoosier friends for more summer fun!
Reflections...
Reflections in my sunglasses, in the windows on the street and in my mind as I think back to that sunny day in May when the greatest spectacle in racing passed by for another year...
